Ezi-Action Drum Pump 25/5 - Chemical resistant pump for containers & jerry cans

This Drum Pump is made from polypropylene and polyethylene plastics giving it a broad resistance to many chemicals.

This Ezi-action Drum Pump can be used to pump acids, alkaline and chlorine based cleaning chemical fluids, liquid foods, oils and lubricants including those chemicals that contain mild solvents.

Suited to dispensing any small pail, container or jerry can with a minimum opening of 1 2/3 inches in diameter.

The shorter shaft height allows for easy pumping on a bench or table top.

Perfect for dispensing 20 & 25 litre chemical containers.

Secures into the container opening with an Ezi-action® C Adaptor Fitting Ring.

Dispenses roughly 175ml/6oz per stroke.

This Ezi-action Drum Pump has been designed to pump a wide range of liquid products and chemicals.

Only Two Working Parts

The range of Ezi-action Drum Pumps are patented piston-less direct lift pumps. There is almost no mechanism to fail, jam or wear out. The Ezi-action Drum Pump has only two working parts in the form of two Flap Valves which do not take any excess load or pressure.

Use of this Ezi-action Drum Pump

This Drum Pump is made of Polypropylene and Polyethylene plastics giving it a broad resistance to many chemicals. This Ezi-action Drum Pump can be used to pump acids, alkaline, and chlorine-based liquids, liquid foods, oils and lubricants, including those chemicals that contain mild solvents. 

DO NOT use to pump petrol/gasoline or harsh solvents.

Use this Ezi-action Drum Pump in conjunction with the safety directions on the product label and always replace the safety strap immediately after use.

Installation

It may be necessary to loosen the Ezi-action Cap Attachment fitting from time to time to let air into the container.

Insert the shaft until the Ezi-action Drum Pump comes to rest on the bottom. 

Turn the Ezi-action Drum Pump to the position that you wish it to face.

Servicing

Ezi-action Drum Pumps are fully serviceable. Should servicing be required contact your supplier for an Ezi-action Seal Pack or Service Kit or ask about other seal options.

Using the Ezi-action Drum Pump 

For best results, your pumping method will need to vary as to the quantity of fluid required and the viscosity of the liquid being pumped.

It is not necessary to use the full stroke length of the Plunger to make the pump operate efficiently. With more viscous liquids slower steadier strokes are best.  If you require an exact quantity of liquid, it is best to use shorter strokes as you near the quantity of liquid required.

The Outlet Nozzle swivels and can be turned up to prevent any dripping, especially when pumping viscous liquids. NEVER USE THE PUMP when the Outlet nozzle is pointing up.

Unlocking the Safety Strap

The purpose of the Safety Strap is to reduce the risk of children and unwanted persons from using the pump. The manufacturer does not warrant the effectiveness of the Safety Strap, or its locking mechanism in any way. (See Warnings and Warranties).

To release the Safety Strap place a hand across the breadth of the Safety Strap and squeeze. This action will raise the locking spigot and allow the Safety Strap to fold down. Always replace the Safety Strap after using the pump.

Removal and Cleaning of Ezi-action Drum Pump 

Warning: Respect the toxicity of any fluid being pumped. Read the product label for advice on necessary eye, skin, inhalation protection and protective clothing. Remember: The Ezi-action Drum Pump will have a quantity of fluid contained inside it when it is removed.

1. Remove the Ezi-action Drum Pump and hold the Outlet Nozzle over a container or bucket and tip slowly backwards and forwards until the flow stops.
2. Where the Ezi-action Drum Pump has been used to pump water soluble liquids rinse the pump by standing the Drum Pump in a bucket of water and pump until empty. 

Caution: Be conscious of the toxicity of the fluid and where the rinse water is draining to. It is advised that it be collected for later use.

WARNING

1. When using or removing the Ezi-action Drum Pump from the container, respect the toxicity of the product being pumped. Wear required protective clothing, eye protection, gloves and appropriate footwear.
2. Never use the Ezi-action Drum Pump to pump different fluids first without giving the Ezi-action Drum Pump a thorough clean by completely disassembling the Ezi-action Drum Pump.  It is recommended that a separate Ezi-action Drum Pump be used for each different product.  The Ezi-action Drum Pump should not be used to pump petrol/gasoline.
3. Always replace the Safety Strap immediately after use of the Ezi-action Drum Pump.
4. Do not lock or unlock the Safety Strap in the presence of children.
5. All Ezi-action Drum Pumps and chemicals should be stored in a safe, locked area, forbidding access to children and non-authorized people.
6. Always attach the Ezi-action Safety Measure securely before using the pump.
7. Should siphoning need to be controlled ask for an Ezi-action Non-Siphon Check Valve.
8. Remove this pump after use if hazardous gases need to be contained.

Warranty

This Ezi-action Drum Pump is warranted for a period of 24 months against faulty components. Any such faulty components will be replaced free of charge. This Drum Pump is not warranted against misuse or for the pumping of gasoline/petrol, hydrocarbon solvents or highly flammable liquids containing harsh solvents.

Under no circumstances shall the manufacturer be liable for any liability, loss or damage, direct, incidental, accidental or consequential arising out of the use of, or inability to use this Drum Pump.

Before using this DrumPump, the user shall determine the suitability of the pump for its intended use and any user assumes all risks and liability whatsoever in connection therewith.
